Kesmarc Water Therapy
Our one hour tour provides an understanding of the entire rehabilitation process as well as a unique approach to water therapy. Guests will see horses swim and aquatred (in ground underwater treadmill), along with an explanation of our program for the horses successful return to training. Kesmarc is not only pioneers in equine rehabilitation but also Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy for the horse worldwide. An explanation of Hyperbaric Medicine for the horse as well as an opportunity to see horses being treated in the chamber. Horsin' Around in the Bluegrass
This 3 hour tour of Lexington horse country begins in historic downtown Lexington and presents interesting local facts and architectural points of interest for a full appreciation of our fine city. Next we travel to the famous Keeneland Race Track for a first hand look at Thoroughbred racing. Next stops are two of the three farms: Donamire Farm, Millennium Farm or Carriage Station for an up close and personal experience.

Three Chimneys Farm: Driving Tour
Drive through the historic Old Bradley Place division of Three Chimneys Farm and get a sneak peak into one of the farm's larger divisions. Originally known as Highland Stock Farm, Old Bradley Place is currently home to roughly 150 broodmares and their foals. As visitors drive through the winding roads and rolling hills of the Old Bradley place division, they will see the remnants of the old racetrack (the quarter mile poles and clockers' stands are still maintained), one of the former King Ranch broodmare cemeteries, and the farm's current inhabitants with their newest offspring. Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital Tour
The Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital Tour provides a one hour educational experience and inside view of equine veterinary medicine. Tour guests will walk through the state-of-the-art facility and view surgery, diagnostic imaging systems and the podiatry center, and learn about advances in equine veterinary medicine and patient care. Daily Afternoon Tour During WEG with Rood & Riddle
Blue Grass Tours will be offering some special stops on our daily tours during WEG. On our Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoon tours we will head to Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital to tour their state-of-the-art facility. Rood & Riddle is a full-service equine hospital known and respected throughout the world for innovative and highly skilled treatment of horses and offers a full range of services including surgery, internal medicine, advanced diagnostic imaging, a focused Podiatry Center and specialized Reproductive Center. The practice also provides ambulatory services for emergencies, preventative care, general reproduction, radiography, and medical care and treatment at the horse's barn or stable. After touring this wonderful equine hospital, we will visit a signature Thoroughbred farm for a private tour to see these beautiful horses! Tuesday/Thursday Morning Daily Bluegrass Tour During WEG
Blue Grass Tours will be offering special itineraries on our daily tours during WEG. On our Tuesday and Thursday morning tours we will have a wonderful 3 hour tour of the area that includes a stop at historic Keeneland Race Course for a behind-the-scenes tour of this site on the National Historic Register. Come see this grand race course that has been filmed for both 'Seabiscuit' and the upcoming movie about Seattle Slew. We will also visit Richland Hills Farm, located along scenic Old Frankfort Pike in the heart of bluegrass horse country. Enjoy a private tour of their stallion barn and see the mares, weanlings, and yearlings in their paddocks. Tues/Thurs Afternoon Daily Bluegrass Tour During WEG
Blue Grass Tours will be offering some special stops on our daily tours during WEG. On our Tuesday and Thursday afternoon tours we will have a wonderful 3 hour tour of the area that includes a visit to Valkyre Stud. Located in the rolling hills of central Kentucky just east of Georgetown, KY, Valkyre Stud's philosophy has always been to concentrate on quality instead of quantity. Come see their Thoroughbred nursery, home to broodmares, weanlings, and yearlings. Next we will visit Old Friends Farm a rescue and retirement farm for Thoroughbreds specializing in retired Stallions. Old Friends provides these wonderful champions with the dignified retirement they deserve including Seabiscuit star Popcorn Deelites. Along the way we will enjoy seeing more farms and historic places in Lexington, Kentucky and hearing professional narration from our professional guides.
